Bridging the Digital Divide Across Telangana

In a world where knowledge flows at the speed of the internet, thousands of children in rural Telangana are still waiting to be connected to that world of opportunity.

Telangana, a frontrunner in India’s digital revolution, has already transformed the state’s digital landscape through T-Fiber — a robust optical fiber network spanning over 9,000 villages. Yet, out of 26,000 government schools, many still lack reliable high-speed internet access.

Without connectivity, these schools remain cut off from online learning, smart classrooms, and the future-ready skills—AI, coding, robotics that define 21st-century education.

That’s why we’ve launched the “Gift a Future” Initiative — a movement to digitally empower every government school in Telangana, ensuring no child is left behind in the learning revolution.

The Vision

Imagine a Telangana where every child—no matter where they live—can attend virtual classes, explore digital labs, and learn from the best teachers across the world.

Led by Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation Ltd. (T-Fiber) under the Department of ITE&C, this initiative aims to connect 5,000 government schools in Phase I, setting the stage to eventually cover all 26,000 schools across the state.

For just ₹23,954 per year (₹66/day), one school can be transformed into a digital gateway of opportunity—where students, teachers, and the entire community can thrive in the connected world.

From Adavi Srirampur to “AI Srirampur”

Our inspiration comes from Adavi Srirampur, a small village in Peddapalli District that’s now known as “AI Srirampur.”

Once without connectivity, the village now consumes over 10–14 TB of data every day. Students attend online classes, teachers use digital tools, and villagers access e-governance, and AI-powered learning resources.

What began as a pilot project has become a model for rural digital transformation—proving that a single connection can ignite an entire community’s growth.
