About T-Fiber
Support from Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN)
The progress of the T-Fiber project has been significantly supported by the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN), formerly USOF(Universal Service Obligation Fund). DBN, under the Ministry of Communications, Government of India, has been instrumental in advancing fiber connectivity across India. Telangana’s State-Led Model of BharatNet is actively aligned with DBN’s objectives of universal broadband coverage.
Through its technical, financial and policy-level support, DBN has facilitated critical project approvals, monitoring of service level agreements (SLAs), and coordination for ROW and forest clearances. As per recent Union Budget announcements and DBN communications, broadband will be extended to all Government Secondary Schools and Primary Health Centres, further expanding the scope and impact of the T-Fiber initiative. DBN continues to work closely with the Telangana Government to achieve timely project delivery and effective network utilization.
